Blogger Take Two

Lower Salmon Falls on the Upper Kern River
(Up river is Upper Salmon Falls which is too dangerous for me, so I walked around, but I got to watch "Fast" Eddy go through it.)

Well I was able to upload a comment. The only downside that I can see is that I couldn't enter my name (as a commentor) unless I had a Blogger account. The entry was posted as being from "anonymous".

Hopefully that will be handled in a future release.

How to make a blog.

Yup, that is me, getting ready to go riverboarding on the Kern River - an awesome experience thanks to my river guru, Fast Eddy.

This Blog is for Macintosh Users in the Los Angeles Area. (I am sorry but PC users will be ....just joking. PC users are also welcome.) Hopefully it will prove useful to Mac (and sometimes PC) computer users who are looking for resources locally or otherwise.

To start off, some people may want to know how to create their own Blog. Well I have to say that it was very easy. This Blog was created using Google's Blogger. Go to http://www.blogger.com and fill in the forms and you'll be rolling in a few minutes.

You don't even need to have a web site, but if you do, then you can choose the option of hosting your Blog at your own site as I did. Advantages? I'm not sure. I'll check it out and let you know.

Edit: Okay, I did a Google search and this is what I found out. If you host your Blog on your own site, you won't have an ad at the top. However I checked out the Blogger page for "How Stuff Works" and the ad was pretty cool, so no big deal. If you don't want to bother with hosting your Blog, Google will host it for you.
